This customer wanted a Theros themed box, and he said "spare no expense!" And he meant it. Literally every surface, inside and out, is covered in custom images with full nyx treatment. It took over a week to get all of these done (it was indeed rather pricey) but the end product was glorious.
When you move it in the light, a feint milky way style purple shimmers with black specular particles. Its like looking into the nyx sky. You can see it best in the first image of the top with Tymna & Ravos. Pictures do not do it justice.

The wood color on these appears to be more rich and saturated than other boxes. This is because I double stained the wood as part of the partial nyx treatment.

I redesigned my display boxes to have a front crown to hide the saw tooth edges of the plexiglass. This also has the added benefit of making the box structurally stronger. So if you order one, it will look like <-<-- this instead of the previous ones.
I love the little story that is told by the art on this one. Rankle, the trickster invites you to a lone cottage in the bog. Overhead ravens swirl. Absolutely nothing sus about it.
To come inside he asks for a just a small token of tribute.

These will be delicious. I even have a nice dinner show of watching the ravens peck you to death!
This one was made as a gift. I can't say it enough - no gift is better than one that is personally made for the recipient.
Full Panoramic Commission with New "Battleship Plating" Option
This commissioner wanted a Dune inspired deckbox, so we have the vast deserts of Arrakis on the sides with a Nyx treatment for a starry sky above, as well as the House Atriedes insignia on top.
Battleship Plating is a display box upgrade.
The previous design had two minor problems:
1. Its made of fairly thin wood. While I've never had one break before, it probably couldn't survive a fall or two onto a hard floor.
2. The top is kept on with friction and suction. If you hold it without gripping the thumb tabs or squeezing it slightly, the bottom shell slowly slides off. No one has ever complained about this, It's just something that has bugged me.
How does Battleship Plating solve this?
1. Its made wood that is twice as thick. Significantly more durable.
2. The wood is thick enough that I can put magnets on the wood edges
to secure it down. It feels great.
The only downsides are its harder to make and thus more expensive. Also the sawtooth edges are thicker so the overall usable art area percentage is a little smaller. That didn't affect this one at all since I repainted it after assembling to create this beautiful panoramic desert landscape.

This person also wanted to be a guinea pig for the Battleship Plating along with a white background scheme. This was only the third time time I had done it so I learned a few things in the process. This wood engraved differently so I have to be more careful with Text thickness. Also I have to be way more careful with wood warping else it can sit slightly lopsided in a way that didn't happen with the thinner wood.
Now that I have those things figured out and quality has been improved, I am happy to release the Battleship Plating as an official option.
